Dragons, Dreams and Daring Deeds

 Summer Reading Program 2005

The Summer Reading Program this year will be known as: "Dragons, Dreams, and Daring Deeds"! The Cleveland County Library System as a part of a nation-wide program is offering a free reading program for children from pre-school thru 6th grade.

Daring deeds then, as today, were a part of the human condition. Knights fought dragons, held jousts, went on quests, and laid siege to castles. Damsels were rescued, or in more modern tales, they're much more active having some pretty daring adventures of their own. Wizards cast wild spells and performed rather amazing deeds themselves. The children of Cleveland County are invited to dream of times long ago, read terrific tales of daring and adventure, and enjoy summer library activities filled with medieval magic and merriment, dragons, castles, knights, and fun.
